WebSphere Support Engineer (Affiliated Computer Services, Inc.)

Responsibilities:
* Provide 3rd tier support to Enterprise System, working with ACS and vendor teams to define, document and execute support activities with regards to the daily operations of the Enterprise System across multiple environments.
* Engage in the following tasks/activities:
* Deployment / Smoke Testing
* Review and analyze system and application logfiles to identify / troubleshoot system / application errors
* Examine configuration / property files
* Trace transaction flows between applications, sytems, etc.
* Escalate problems/issues
* Monitor applications and proactively look for things that may possibly
Requirements:
* Graduate of computer-related courses
* 2-3 years experience working as tier 3 support resource with strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem resolution experience
* Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux with scripting experience in language such as Kshell, Bash, perl, etc.
* Detail oriented and able to reach across multiple domains to find / resolve a problem
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* SQL experience is a plus
* Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
