ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Incident Management Level 2 - The Network Administrator is responsible for incident management and resolution for level 2 network-related issues. The Senior Network Administrator will escalate to an outside vendor relating to connectivity or the NOC for Level II support to complement the Senior Network Administrator. The Network Administrator will implement and use enterprise-monitoring tools to monitor all network and respond based on enterprise standards. The Network Administrator will work closely with the NOC throughout all level II incidents related to the region or as deemed necessary.
o – Ensures vendors, suppliers and/or providers are within the agreeable Service Levels
? Network Administration - The Network Administrator is responsible in network administration (logins, passwords, etc), backups and restore procedures and routing changes at regional level. The Network Administrator may provide initial hardware troubleshooting.
o –Administers and monitors all network devices (routers and switches) including network monitoring systems (MRTG, WhatsUp, etc).
o – Reviews and supervises Backup procedures and restoration
o – Participates in regional implementation for networking requirements of existing and new accounts
o – Implements 2nd level of network requirements as per the requirements of operation
? Network Documentation - The NA will work with Sr. Network Engineer on documentation of all systems, including disaster avoidance / recovery and planning for Network-related issues.
o - Implements Network policies and procedures and ensures compliance as documented.
o – Document all network policies and procedures
? Account Administration - The NA will ensure policies in adding access, modification of access and revocation of access rights of individuals in/out of regional or global groups are being followed.
o – Administers network (creation, deletion and modification) systems logins in switch and router level
o - Implements account administration cleanup compliance is appropriate based on Internal Audit or External Audit recommendation.
? Change Administration - The NA is a key participant in Change Implementation Management (CIM) and submits change control documentation in accordance with Sykes standards.
o - Ensures all Change Request documentations are submitted properly in accordance with Sykes standards.
o - Ensure that all network configuration changes are approved by Network Engineer and/or Global Network team
o - Evaluate, test and recommend new software technology as deem appropriate to support daily activities.
? IT Physical Asset Management - The Network Administrator submits IT asset management and provides reports to Network Engineer in accordance with Sykes standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
? Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Communications Engineering.
? 2 to 4 years relate experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? CCNA preferred
? Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
? General knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting as well as diagnostic experience with a variety of protocol standards is necessary.
? General knowledge and understanding of a Customer Support Center.
? Working understanding of UNIX® and Windows NT®/2000 operating systems.
? Senior level applied understanding of: TCP/IP and its suite of protocols, Cisco (or equivalent) router/firewall software/hardware configuration and operation of RIP, RIPv2, OSPF, and BGP4 routing protocols.
? Requires knowledge of data infrastructures: point-to-point, Telco and cell / packet-switched technologies such as T1, DS3, SONET, Frame Relay, and ATM.
