Procurement Agent

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate activities involved in procuring IT infrastructure related products such as network devices, servers, software & licenses, and maintenance agreements & renewals.
* Requests are received from both LOB contacts as well as from ITSS project managers and support staff; they are entered into the on-line Asset Center or Remedy systems for tracking and to store approvals.
* Maintain the on-line catalog of items in accordance with defined standards and will validate vendor quotes with corporate SLAD agreements.
* Will work with the vendor to place the order and manage logistics to the point of delivery.

Requirements:

* A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
* High level end user PC efficiency, Microsoft Outlook, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Vendor management, MS Office products efficiency, highly organized.
* Must have experience maintaining manual and electronic records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and product quality upon delivery.
* Must have client interface experience, such as discussing defective or unacceptable goods with vendor personnel and work toward any corrective action needed.
* With use of both Asset Center and Remedy, the agents are required to have an administrative level of authority in the system to maintain dynamic tables for catalogs, pricing, cost centers, and approvers in the system.
* Must demonstrate administrative authority to add new users to the system and to reset passwords.
* Must have experience on owning the training process for new users and have created and updated user manuals.
* Must have experience doing reports for analytical needs such as total spend by cost center, requestor, or project are also generated by the procurement agents as requested.
