Directly supervises Payroll Administrators to ensure timely and accurate processing. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ensures compliance with company policies and Federal, State and Local tax laws.
Validates tax payments and returns including annual reconciliation supplied by ADP Tax Service.
Tests and implements BSI and Lawson updates and upgrades.
Maintains accounts with tax agencies at all levels.
Responsible for year-end tax procedures including but not limited to W-2 reconciliation and reprints, and W-2C remittances and filings.
Ensures employees are taxed properly and maintains compliance with local tax jurisdictions.
Explains any reconciliation items for payroll and tax general ledger accounts.
Oversees the recording of all payroll accounting entries and payments into the financial system.
Responsible for various research and audits as required.
Periodically trains payroll department on payroll procedures including remote locations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent.
Required language(s): English.
Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City.
Applicants must be willing to work in shifting schedule.
Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
Full-Time positions available.
At least 3 years payroll managerial experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lawson Payroll and Accounting System experience is strongly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local tax and lien regulations, taxability of earnings types and accounting and payroll principles.
Analytical and detail oriented. Demonstrated problem solving and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
