Customer Service Representative : AMMEX Corporation, PMI

Position Overview

 

Deliver World Class Customer Service.  Process and manage customer purchase orders and inquiries, ensuring on-time delivery and overall customer satisfaction.  Manage account activity and sales. Take the lead on issues and be pro-active in finding solutions.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Enter U.S. and Canadian orders via EDI and fax; edit orders, making sure that pricing, inventory, items and routing instructions are all correct.
  • Check inventory status for particular items to meet availability.  Work with Purchasing and Logistics to make sure that inventory levels are maintained at appropriate levels.  Inform Account Manager of inventory outages.
  • Assist customers with order status and product information/availability; communicate with Account Manager concerning customer issues.
  • Process consumer warranty and replacement requests.
  • Answer calls from customer service phone queue.
  • Follow through on order tracking and verify complete on-time shipments.
  • Perform currency conversions for Canadian shipments.
  • Key in returns and research chargebacks. Communicate urgent issues to Account Manager.
  • File customer service paperwork and work with Account Manager to update Customer Profiles when necessary.
  • Maintain customer routing guide manuals.
  • Analyze account forecast data versus actuals and recommend solutions to Account Manager
  • Partner with Account Manager in providing accurate forecasts.
  • Learning backup duties/tasks in Customer Service.
  • Work with Account Manager to ensure execution of item transitions.
  • Review all vendor compliance guidelines and communicate any issues to Account Manager.
  • Process New Account Packets for all new customers.
  • Process sample orders.
  • Represent PMI with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Adhere to PMI policies and support Management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.
  • Provide back up on consumer and customer calls.
  • Request reworks when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Interaction and Environment

 

Reports To:  Customer Service Manager

Work areas are inside in a climate-controlled environment with moderate background noise.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.

  • Solid word processing and computer database skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Education and Experience

  • College graduate.

  • One (1) year of customer service experience, minimum.

    well, the CM has been terminated by the President already so I think working in AMMEX will be fun now.
