The Systems Analyst position requires an individual that has strong technical writing skills, is very detail oriented and possess good problem solving skills and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze application business requirements in detail and prepare functional specifications for a proposed (or changed) system
Participate in discovery and design meetings
Obtain rough estimates of the cost of operating and maintaining a proposed new or changed system, assuming use of appropriate technology, tools, and methods
Assists the Project Manager in identifying the skills and resources needed to implement a new system or to modify an existing system, and in preparing rough estimates of:
The cost of developing or changing the system
The duration of a project to do so
Design and develop user manuals and corresponding training materials for a system being developed
Assist in the development of standards, policies, and procedures
Skills/Experience:
· 2 – 4 years experience as a Systems Analyst / Spec. Writer
· Very familiar with user-interface issues and web design
· Familiar enough with technology to know its limitations and capabilities
· Highly skilled, detailed writer
· Excellent writing skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Knowledge of Transportation Industry
